I think it is way to incredibly hard, as a movie lover, to
choose a favorite movie. There are so many different genres and types to narrow
it down to just one. So I will write about a long time favorite that has always
been an inspirational story and a great movie overall. " Remember
The Titans " is a great movie that discusses the hardships of
segregation at a small town white dominated high school.
It’s a story about how a football team starts
out with racial stereo types and discrimination toward one another, but soon
work together to overcome their differences. It only gets harder when "2 A
Day" summer practices are over and they have to go back to school. The
discrimination begins to relapses back, but the success of the football team
creates a common ground for many folks in the community. With the help of a few,
very influential coaches the team makes it to state and takes home the title.
In my eyes, it doesn’t matter if you don't care a single bit about football;
there is something in this movie for everyone. It also shows a time in history
where racial integration was a new thing. The renowned actor Denzel Washington,
does an amazing job playing the head coach position in this movie. Another
reason I would rank this movie so high in my all time favorites is because,
this compelling movie is based on a true story. Remember The Titans will
go down in history and I hope many people of all ages will watch this movie and
share, not only the movie but the life lessons portrayed in it too.
